What Is Phoenix Miner?

PhoenixMiner is an open-source and Ethash-based mining software that can help you mine ETH, ETC, Muiscoin, EXP, UBQ, etc coins. The Phoenix Miner was launched with the motto of providing faster and easier-to-use software.

With this miner software, you can every coin that is based upon Ethash POW. It was first launched in the year 2011 and available on Bitcointalk since 2013.

You can use them on Linux as well as on Windows. The Phoenixminer Latest version is 5.4c.

How To Download PhoenixMiner

They do not have a website officially. To download their software you need to visit the Bitcointalk thread where you can find software to download. The software was uploaded on Mega.NZ file-sharing platform.

You can download files according to your OS. For windows choose the file with .zip and for Linux takes the file .tar.gz.  Phoenixminer download.

Note: I highly recommend downloading the software and files from official sources only.

How To Use PhoenixMiner

First, you have to download and set up a miner that you can do from the above and below-given guides. Then you have to enter your details like your wallet address.

Change, YOUR_ADDRESS with your ethereum wallet address. Change RIG_ID with your own name changing Rig ID is not mandatory.

How to install phoenixminer?

You can easily download and install the software but to set up Miner, you need to have a command for it. You can find it on their Bitcointalk thread here.

You can choose different pools and coins according to your plan some known pools are DwarfPool, NanoPool, and MiningPoolHub.

Is PhoenixMiner Scam or Legit?

So, is Phoenixminer safe? Yes, they seem legit, safe, and trusted to use. But do you know there are some speculations in the past that shows that they are a scam?

Phoenix miner is legit.

Just want to let you know that previous speculations made on PhoenixMiner were because of a small mistake. Which is not resolved. phoenixminer 5.4c.

Also, there is a website (https://phoenixminer.org/) that is not an official website by the PhoenixMiner team so do use own your own risk.

So PhoenixMiner is legit? One of the forum users reported that their website and software s full of scams. Which you can read here. Now if you want to use them then read this scam accusation before using it.

I can find PhoenixMiner on GitHub? Actually, there is no direct link to GitHub.

PhoenixMiner Controversy (Virus)

In early 2021 some users and Nicehash reportedly claimed that PhonenixMiner can steal users’ data including Private keys and any other information through their malware or specifically “Offline Keylogger”.

Although some other users also reported the same, you can find users’ reviews on Reddit, just visit Google and search for “phoenixminer virus”.

But it doesn’t mean all and everyone facing this issue, some users also reported that they are using Phoenixminer for a long time and they never faced any issues.

So Phoenixminer compromise? After reading the BitcoinTalk thread and Reddit reviews I can’t say that they are compromised. But good to use.

To avoid any future problems I suggest checking files and putting your private information somewhere else before using them.
